I attended this training on 10/31/19.
"Green Dot is a national program we implement here at the College at
Brockport; it is a bystander intervention program whose focus is
preventing sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking."
We are trying to start a culture change here on campus; that process will take time. Started with the President's cabinet and now faculty/staff. Upper classmen will be trained in the spring semester.
Similar to "Eagle Checkin" where you check in with folks to see how they are doing.
Three D's:
Direct
Delegate
Distract
There are both proactive and reactive green dots. We are trying to diffuse any of the red dots that appear on campus.

Things for Faculty/Staff to do now:
Hang up posters in their offices/areas
Put a statement in their syllabi
Develop course assignments related to greendot topics
Use the language in conversations with students
Educate and read articles on the topic
From the Office for Prevention and Outreach
The College at Brockport, SUNY
